'World's Slimmest Smartphone' Vivo X5Max Launched

New contender for the world slimmest smart phone is in the market.The world's slimmest smartphone title, the Vivo X5Max, has been launched in India, price of vivo X 5 max is  Rs. 32,980. It measures 153.9x78x4.75mm. The Vivo X5Max is an incredible 4.75mm thick.

The Chinese manufacturer says the smartphone will be available via physical retail. At that thickness, the smartphone is slimmer than the currently 'slimmest smart phone in the world' the Oppo R5 and Gionee S5.1.

The highlight of the Vivo X5Max is that it supports Hi-Fi 2.0 and focuses on music experience. The handset also features Yamaha YSS-205X chip.

Vivo's Funtouch  OS 2.0 UI is the company's take on Android, similar  to Chinese companies Oppo and Xiaomi. The Vivo X5 Max runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat .

It features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It has a battery of 2000mAh.The smartphone includes 16GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card and can be extended up to 128GB. It  has 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and Sony IMX214 sensor, while also housing a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The X5Max is a dual-SIM (Micro-SIM and nano SIM) device and supports 4G LTE on both the SIMs.

 It used the industry's thinnest chassis of 3.98mm on the X5Max and also claims the handset sports a screen sporting a thickness of just 1.36mm.

The Vivo X5Max is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615
processor (quad-core 1.7GHz + quad-core 1GHz) coupled with 2GB of RAM.

Connectivity options, apart from 4G LTE, on the X5Max include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, USB OTG, and 3G.
